Stow Maries receives funding from Natural England
to develop bird watching facilities

On a recent visit, Andy Johnson, photographer and friend of Slipstream Books learned of the other side of Stow Maries.

The team restoring the site are all passionate about preserving the astonishing wildlife habitat that the aerodrome has become.

Seventeen birds on the "red list" are resident on the site with many others on the "amber list".
